​The Magic of Rest and The Rest is Magic!

Our intention for these ONE-HOUR sessions is to simply pause in the magic of rest! 

​

Resting in heart space with all of your precious yoooouuus ... your wise, wild, woo n wondrous bits ... your happy, sad, mad n curious bits ... and all the juicy bits in-between!!

​

Nic's "Magic of Rest" sessions include a variety of: gentle movement n deep rest (yoga nidra/meditation),  sound bathing, mantras, mudras and space for journalling  ... all offered with love, joy and kindness!

 

All sessions are joyously co-created with "us the peeps" and with the "energies of the day" - no scripts and no recordings ... simply allowing the magic of rest to do its thing!

We rest in our bodies* 

We rest between the waking, dreaming and sleeping states.

We rest between worlds and open ourselves to the magic of listening to the heart.

​

This is an adaptogenic practice which means each session meets you exactly where you're at.  Within this space the body, mind and heart slowly do what they need to do.

 

Therefore no two people will experience the same thing and no two sessions are ever the same.

We and our resting power are always in constant evolution and change.

​

Taking time out to allow yourself to rest is deeply nourishing and a radical act of self-care! 

 

During this practice we allow what wants to come to come, what wants to go to go, and what wants to be, to be!

Day 'n' Time:

 

Online "Magic of Rest" sessions are held:

Every 1st, 2nd and 3rd Monday of each month (except August)

At: 2-3pm UK time.

​

Time conversions: 

This is 3-4pm CET, 9am EST, and for early birds it's 6am PST.

What's Involved:

​

Our sessions start with Arrivals, Group Welcome, Sound Check and Orientation to the Magic of Rest Space.

 During which we'll be co-creating our journey together.

Our co-creation unfolds in the moment which means the practice is ALIVE with who is here contributing now, and what the energies of the day are gifting us with.

There are no scripts and with this comes a natural flow and ease of what is present

and calling to us right now. 

 

Our practice then begins with Welcoming and Settling:

Preparing our resting space and snuggling up in our rest nest  ~ meandering and pootling gently we go ~ ready for our sleepy adventure.

We then journey through:

🌟Breath and Body

🌟Body and Earth

🌟Externalisation and Reintegration 

 

As the session comes to a close:

We'll slowly come back round to our here 'n' now, journalling if this is desired, then greeting one another back into the present moment, maybe making a small offering to ourselves and each other.  Then after a gentle shimmy shake or raucous roar, move on ready for the rest of the day!

Come as you are ~ whoever that is on the day!

Suitable for ages 8-108 - all welcome!

​

Bring a journal along with snuggly or light cottonsilk blankets, cushions, eye mask (if you'd like one) and a cuppa! Some people like to make a little altar either around themselves or close by, maybe with a flower, stone, essential oil, photo of a loved one, or a few nuts or a piece of chocolate. 

  

These sessions are held LIVE as sacred spaces ~ and are NOT recorded. 

 

Please organise a space for you to be able to rest comfortably and place your phone, pad or computer, with the camera on somewhere where ideally I can still see you ... this is so I may take care of the space and keep a tender loving eye on everyone during the session.

* In yogic philosophy our bodies are made of layers of experience, each body or layer of experience is connected with an element. One of the intentions of Yoga Nidra is to nourish each body or layer of experience.  

These layers include the physical, energetic, emotional, wisdom and bliss bodies.
